In the Sweet Bye and Bye Lyrics

There's a land that is fairer than day,
And by faith we can see it afar.
For the Father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.[Chorus]
In the sweet by and by, we shall meet on that beautiful shore;
In the sweet by and by, we shall meet on that beautiful shore.We shall sing on that beautiful shore
The melodious songs of the blest;
And our spirits shall sorrow no more,
Not a sigh for the blessings of rest.[Chorus]To our bountiful Father above
We will offer our tribute of praise
For the glorious gift of His love
And the blessings that hallow our days[Chorus: x2]

The Mills Brothers, sometimes billed as The Four Mills Brothers, were a U.S. jazz and pop vocal quartet. The group was originally composed of four brothers all born in Piqua, Ohio: John Jr (1911-1936) basso and guitarist, Herbert (1912-1989) tenor, Harry (1913-1982) baritone, and Donald (1915-1999) lead tenor. Their father owned a barber's shop, and founded a barbershop quartet called the Four Kings of Harmony.
