Indian Rain Lyrics

Rain Clouds in the sky, ( I ) Don't know why
They make me blue, when I'm thinking of you
Maybe they want to cry, As I walk on by
Hiding my tears, in a world of good byes
{Dhentha Dhentha Dhena na Dhena ///
Dhentha Dhena na.........na ne na }
Love during summer rain, Causes no pain
Cause I'm looking back, at you once again
Memories crowding my mind, You're one of a kind
Life with out love, I'm helpless I'm dying
{Dhentha Dhentha Dhena na Dhena ///
Dhentha Dhena na.........na ne na }
Rain drops and dance, strange kind of romance
I don't know why (whether) to cry out loud, But I'm feeling fine
Watch the rhythm of the rain falling down
{Dhentha Dhentha Dhena na Dhena ///
falling down //.............}
sa, re, ma, pa, ni ma, ni, re ni, ma, ma, re, ni, sa, re, ma, ma,

I don't know why (whether) to cry out loud, But I'm feeling fine
Watch the rythm of the rain falling down
(Trumpet Solo)
Rain falling around, Its just the sound
I like to here, when my hearts feeling down
{Ah..............}
Try to smile once again, As they slash in my window pain
I quiet like that, I don't mind
I've got no complaint
{Dhentha Dhentha Dhena na Dhena ///
Dhentha Dhena na.........na ne na }
Rain drops and dance, strange kind of romance
I don't know why (whether) to cry out loud, But I'm feeling fine
Watch the rhythm of the rain falling down
{Dhentha Dhentha Dhena na Dhena ///

In June 1996, a revolution occurred in Indian musical history when two talented Indian nationals were invited to perform on MTV Unplugged. Calling themselves the "Colonial Cousins", A. Hariharan ("Hari") and Leslie ("Lezz") Lewis became the first Asians and only Indians so far to have performed on the prestigious show, which features only the biggest acts in the American and British music industry. That MTV Unplugged featured a group which had released only one album, and that too just two months prior to the concert, speaks volumes for the Colonial Cousins' talents. Their unique brand of music seamlessly fusing Indian and Western musical genres instantly won the hearts of young and old alike. The album hit platinum in sales in India alone and consistently busted the Indian music charts in 1996. Award upon award was piled on the duo, notably the MTV Asia Viewers' Choice Award, 1996, and the US Billboard's Viewers' Award, 1996. On 19 November 1998, the Colonial Cousins released their much-awaited second , "The Way We Do It".
