Insomniac Lyrics

I think you ought to know
I think we've lost control dear
Whatever turned you on
You put it up your nose dearAnd though the feeling was sublime
I think we're running out of time
'Cause when you found it, you'd fix it
Then lose it and then you'd goWill you be long, will you be long dear
Will you be long, I'm waiting
No sleep at all, carry me home
No sleep at all, carry me home
Won't you take me thereI serenade the walls
Young people have it all dear
And surely life is a gas
We never had it bad dearOh was it pointless from the start
Or did we cultivate the arts
I swim in circles, in puddles, in trouble and then I go
Will I be long, will I be long dear
Will I be strong, you're waitingNo sleep at all, carry me home

No sleep at all, carry me home
Won't you take me here
I don't feel good inside, I don't feel good inside
My darling don't you cry, home, homeNo sleep at all, carry me home
No sleep at all, carry me home
Won't you, won't you home home, won't you take me there
I'm ready home, home, won't you take me thereI'm willing home, home, won't you take me there
I want you home, home, won't you take me there

Echobelly are a British/Swedish indie band. They were brought to prominence after much praise by singer Morrissey who asked them to be the opening act on his 1994 tour. The two main members are vocalist Sonya Aurora Madan and guitarist Glenn Johansson. They briefly peaked during the Britpop craze of the mid-1990s with 2 UK Top 10 albums, 1994's Everyone's Got One and 1995's On. Other albums include 1997's Lustra, 2001's People Are Expensive and 2004's Gravity Pulls. A best-of compilation was released in 2002 called I Can't Imagine The World Without Me.
