Instamatic Lyrics

Lost causes turn you on,
So I'm the perfect one.
Your eyes say it's okay now, okay now, and I
I swore I'd never give,
But your cameras were well hid.
So now I've got to pay now, pay now.And the memories are mostly Instamatic
What's left of me is left to you.
And the battleships
Are circling and waiting for your call
Oh no use flying
I just love the fall.
Yeah, I really love the fall.Well your fingers leave no prints
With your fine intelligence.
There's no stopping what you've started, started, and I
I hope for saving grace,
But I know it's all too late.
Can you tell me where my heart is
Heart is, just aMemory, it's mostly Instamatic

What's left of me is left to you.
And the battleships are circling and waiting for your call
Yeah, no use flying
I just love the fall.
Yeah, I really love the fall. Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run.Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run
So go on.Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run.Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run
So go on.The memories are mostly Instamatic
What's left of me belongs to you.
And the battleships
Are circling and waiting for your call
So no use flying
Yeah, no use flying
I just love the fall.
Yeah, I really love the fall. Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run
So go on, go on.Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run.
Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna run
Now you're gonna
Now you're gonna run.

The acoustic rock band Vertical Horizon was formed in 1990 by Georgetown University undergrads Matthew Scannell and Keith Kane; after graduation in 1991 the duo relocated to Boston and, in 1992, self-released their debut album There and Back Again. There and Back Again was recorded in Matt's old high school over a period of a few days, and Matt and Keith together played all the instruments appearing on the album, though they both mostly played acoustic guitar. Both also contributed to writing all the songs, and both sang.
