International Cover-Up Lyrics

Back down no back down comin' up
Rise up no rise up showin' up
Lock down no
lock down comin' up
International cover up
What about the state of union what
about the games they're using
What about the kids that don't matter
What about
a general strike You don't know what it's like What it's like what it's like...
What about the cage gettin' rattled What about the international battle What
about the kids who are dreamin' What about the kids who got stopped
You don't
know what it is like...
SOLIDARITY
Solidarity
Love & unity
Set me free with a bullet & a gun

You said it was
nothin'
I said it was somethin' It was no surprisin' I saw you cryin'
About you - said it's a long time gone
About you - Said your life's too long
Didn't see it coming
Your fears were hunting
9 millimeter
Stops you running
About you - said the pressure's on
About you - said you can't go on
About you
- now you're long time gone
About you - so what went wrong
Solidarity
Love &
unity
Set me free with a bullet & a gun

Rancid is a punk rock band which formed in Berkeley, California, United States in 1991. The band consists of Tim "Lint" Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Lars Frederiksen (guitar), Matt Freeman (bass) and Brendan Stieneckert (drums). The band has released seven albums: "Rancid" (1993), "Let's Go" (1994), "...And Out Come the Wolves" (1995), "Life Won't Wait" (1998), "Rancid" (2000), "Indestructible" (2003) and "Let the Dominoes Fall" (2009). The band originally consisted of Armstrong, Freeman (both former members of Operation Ivy) and drummer Brett Reed, with Frederiksen joining in 1993. Reed left in 2006 and was replaced by Stieneckert.

To date, Rancid has released seven studio albums, one split album, one compilation, two extended plays, and a series of live online-only albums, and has been featured on a number of compilation albums. The band has independently sold over four million records worldwide,[4] making it one of the most successful independent punk groups of all time. The band rose to fame in 1994 with its second studio album, Let's Go, featuring the single "Salvation". In the following year, Rancid released its highly successful album ...And Out Come the Wolves, which produced its best-known songs "Roots Radicals", "Ruby Soho" and "Time Bomb", and was certified gold and platinum by the RIAA, selling over one million copies in the United States alone. Its next four albums, Life Won't Wait, Rancid, Indestructible and Let the Dominoes Fall, were also critically acclaimed, though not as successful as ...And Out Come the Wolves. Rancid is currently working on an eighth studio album, which is said to be recorded in September 2011, and expected to be released in 2012.
