Intervention Lyrics

Forgive all my sins
I know I'll commit them
I know what will happen
When I trade reason for loss of controlA call to arms
With holes and scars
With healthy minds
We enlisted to warYou will see a shadow
Cast upon the light you know
There will be an angel weeping
Tears of blood that stain the earth belowYou'll lose yourself
But you won't find any peace
You won't find any hope
You'll lose yourself
Is this where you belong? You try to avoid it
You try to abstain
But it relentlessly
Takes its controlYou must obey
You'll cower now

You've surpassed
Your threshold for painYou will see a shadow
Cast upon the light you know
There will be an angel
Weeping tears of blood
That stain the earth belowYou'll lose yourself
But you won't find any peace
You won't find any hope
You'll lose yourself
Is this where you be?You are not the one who's trapped inside
You can make a difference
Look into your mind
Your memories are what defines
Who you really areThat's what makes you special, beautiful
You can still be loved
You are held in such a high regardYour blood is contagious
Summoning desperation
Your mind is a blur, a chemical spill
You need to wipe it outYou must fight, you must fight
You must stand, you must stand
You must believe in yourselfYou will see a shadow
Cast upon the light you know
There will be an angel
Weeping tears of blood
That stain the earth belowYou'll lose yourself
But you won't find any peace
You won't find any hope
You'll lose yourself
Is this where you belong?

Silverstein is a 5-piece rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada; formed in 2000. The band name was taken from the famous children's author Shel Silverstein. After several lineup changes, the band acquired Billy Hamilton, a local fan who learned of the band's need for a bassist on the Internet message board "The 905 Board" (an Ontario area outreach board which used to be for local musicians). In Christmas of 2001, he joined the band after Shane Told helped him learn the music for the songs. Following a rehearsal on Boxing Day (December 26) in 2001, he officially debuted with Silverstein.
