It Ain't Me Babe Lyrics

Go away from my window
Leave at your own chosen speed
I'm not the one you want, babe
I'm not the one you needYou say you're looking for someone
Who's never weak but always strong
To protect you and defend you
Whether you are right or wrongSomeone to open each and every door
But it ain't me, babe
No, no, no, it ain't me, babe
It ain't me you're looking for, babeGo lightly from the last pain
Go lightly on the ground
I'm not the one you want, babe
I will only let you downYou say you're looking for someone
Who'll promise never to part
Someone to close his eyes for you
Someone to close his heartSomeone who will die for you and more
But it ain't me, babe
No, no, no, it ain't me, babe

It ain't me you're looking for, babeGo mount back in the night
Everything inside is made of stone
There's nothing in here moving
And anyway I'm not aloneYou say you're looking for someone
Who'll pick you up each time you fall
To gather flowers constantly
And to come each time you callAnd love you for your life and nothing more
But it ain't me, babe
No, no, no, it ain't me, babe
It ain't me you're looking for

Updated August 19th, 2009 Dave Melillo has recently left Cute Is What We Aim For. and has posted this statement: At the beginning of July Mikey, Jeff, some family friends, and I sat down with Shaant. We told him the things he needed to change as far as attitude and demeanor goes. I want to make it known that I shut him out of my life after that. He needed to be on his own if he was going to do anything positive for himself. There was not a visible change in his attitude or work ethic when I got back to Buffalo, so I decided to live my own life.
