It Don't Cost Very Much Lyrics

To smile when you're happy,
Oh, to smile when you're sad,
To look pleasing when mistreated
be forgiving when you're mad
be forgiving when someone abuse you
for the good lord looks for such.
Live right each day,
smile on your way.
It don't cost very much.
Yes it don't cost very much
to place a gentle touch
and to give a glass of water
to a pilgrim in need of such.
Oh, you may not be an angel
and you may not go to church
but the good you do

will come on back to you
and it don't very much.
It don't cost very much
to place a gentle touch
and to give a glass of water
to a pilgrim in need of such.
Oh, you may not be an angel,
and you may not go to church
but the good you do
will come on back to you
and it don't cost very much.
