It's Better This Way Lyrics

She's so far away, yeah, she's in America
And the water is wide, I love you, my love
It's been so long now since we held one another
You're still a part of my dreams
You're so far away, remember each day
It's better this way (yeah)Let's live in the now, forget about history
Now you know we can't live in the past, this is reality
Got no control over the things that happen
And all the hurt that love can bring
You're so far away, remember each day
It's better this way (yeah)I remember all those times
We went sailing on the moon
And love came down to see us
Everywhere, yes everywhere. Now it all seems so wrong, that we have to be apart
But tomorrow we'll walk in the sun, and I'll love you, my love
Together we can write a different story
That never comes to an end
You're so far away, remember each day

It's better this way. You're so far away, remember each day
It's better this way (yeah)You're so far away, remember each day
It's better this way (oh darlin' darlin' darlin' yeah)[Fade]
It's better this way
It's better this way
Lov'es gonna grow, love's gonna grow, it's better this way

Gerald Rafferty (born April 16, 1947, in Paisley, UK and died 4 January 2011) was a Scottish singer and songwriter. In his early years, Gerry Rafferty earned money by the formerly illegal practice of busking on the London Underground. Poetically, his biggest hit "Baker Street" was about busking at a tube station. After working with Billy Connolly (now better known as a comedian) in a band known as The Humblebums, he recorded a first solo album, Can I Have My Money Back.
