It's Never Too Late to Start Over Lyrics

Now darlin', I've tried, I've never done wrong
I've been fair to you, you know all along
Why treat me this way, you're breakin' my heart
I'm lonesome for you we're so far apartIt's never too late to start over new
I've loved you so long, you know I've been true
Please come back to me, my heart is so blue
It's never too late to start over newNow when you are tired, your new love gone down
I hope you'll return and I'll still be around
I love you so well, you know I will wait
But remember these words, it's never too lateIt's never too late to start over new
I've loved you so long, you know I've been true
Please come back to me, my heart is so blue
It's never too late to start over new

The Stanley Brothers (Carter Stanley, 1925-1966, and Ralph Stanley, born 1927) were an American bluegrass duo originally hailing from Dickenson County, Virginia. The family soon moved to McClure, Virginia, where their parents worked a small farm in the Clinch Mountains. Music was a part of their lives from the word go, as they were able to listen to the likes of The Monroe Brothers, Mainer's Mountaineers, and other artists featured on the Grand Ole Opry radio program.
