It's Not Over Lyrics

It's not over
It's not over
There's still timeStandin' on the edge of a bridge
A step away from ending it all
All the while you are wondering
Does anyone love me at allListening to all the wrong voices
Got you feeling broken and worthless
Well, I just thought that you should know this
Until you fulfill your purposeIt's not over
It's not over
There's still timeThis one's for the prostitute
The drug abused, homeless and destitute
And anybody wanting to be rescued
There's still timeYeah, this is for the orphan who is all alone
All he wants is to have a home
Your earthly father may have left you
But your Heavenly Father told me to tell youIt's not over
It's not over

There's still timeIt's not over
It's not over
There's still timeSomeone loves you
Someone hears you
Someone feels you
Someone can heal you
Someone wants to see you throughIt's not over
It's not over
There's still timeIt's not over
It's not over
There's still timeNo, no, no, no
No, no, no, no
No, no, no, no
No, no, no, noNo, no, no, no
No, no, no, no
No, no, no, no
No, no, no, noPlease, please don't give up
Please don'tIt's not over
Yeah, it's not over
No matter what you've been through
And no matter where you are today
I'm here to tell youThere was a time in my life I thought it was over
But I found out that He still loves me
No matter what I've done He still cares
Yeah, start it up again, start it up again, start it up againNo, no, no, no
No, no, no, no
No, no, no, no
No, no, no

Jonny Lang (born Jon Gordon Langseth, Jr. in Fargo, North Dakota, January 29, 1981) is a Grammy Award-winning American blues and gospel singer.

In 1995 (at the age of 14) his first album, Smokin’ by Kid Jonny Lang & The Big Bang was released. As a result of the LP becoming a regional hit, a major-label bidding war ensued that culminated in Lang signing to A&M Records in 1996. In 1997 (at the age of 15) his major-label debut, Lie to Me, was released to mixed reviews.

Part of his success is due to a voice that sounds like that of 40 year-old blues veteran, containing a harshness tempered by a fine falsetto that has taken prominence in his newest albums. Another part of his success is his scorching, electrifying guitar solos, which display a prodigious natural talent honed by years of practice and playing. Whatever the secret to his success, the youngster has quickly become a fixture in the blues world, drawing crowds wherever he goes.

Lang has drawn deeply from the wellspring of influences from the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, Luther Allison, and Albert Collins. As he becomes more confident in his role as a veteran instead of a boy wonder, one can see the possibilities he has yet to share with his fans.
