It's Okay Lyrics

Hands down, you got to be the most beautiful girl I've seen
Need to know how to get you in my life out of my dreams
Heaven must have made a mistake and let you go
Gotta be one of a kind, ain't no more like you, you're original(It's okay)
Be my lady
(It's okay)
Won't you have my baby?
(It's okay)
Later maybe we can go somewhere and get crazy(It's okay)
Let's make it happen
(It's okay)
We can get this thing crackin'
(It's okay)
Let me know, open up your mouth, girl, tell me soIf I let you out of my sight you might get away
So I'm doing all that I can to convince you to stay
You don't know me, when I'm feeling like that is about to change
I trade anything that I got just to hear you call my namePretty brown eyes, chocolate covered thighs
Skin smooth as butter just the way I like

Maybe I'm just stupid but I could have swore
You were staring at me when I walked in the doorCome on over here, I got something for you
Baby, don't be scared, I just want to love you
If you're feeling me like I'm feeling you
Go ahead and tell me what you wanna do(It's okay)
You can be my lady
(It's okay)
Won't you have my baby?
(It's okay)
Later on maybe we can go somewhere and get crazy(It's okay)
We can make it happen
(It's okay)
We can get this thing crackin'
(It's okay)
Baby, let me know, open up your mouth and tell me soLet me put you on, on my witness stand
Baby testify, say that I'm your man
Looking at ya some, tell me that you'll do my time with meIf there anything that I'm guilty of
Girl, it's got to be sweetest kind of love
Sentenced me to life, put me away, it's okay(It's okay)
Be my lady
(It's okay)
Won't you have my baby?
(It's okay)
Later on maybe we can go somewhere and get crazy(It's okay)
Let's make it happen
(It's okay)
We can get this thing crackin'
(It's okay)
Baby, let me know, open up your mouth and tell me so(It's okay)
To be my lady
(It's okay)
Won't you have my baby?
(It's okay)
Later on maybe we can go somewhere and get crazy(It's okay)
We can make it happen
(It's okay)
Won't you get this thing crackin'
(It's okay)
Baby, let me know, open up your mouth and tell me so

Dave Hollister, cousin of music act K-Ci and JoJo, started developing fame as a musician in the early 1990s. Some of his biggest early appearances were with 2Pac on tracks like "Brenda's Got A Baby."

His next big move was when he was signed to Teddy Riley's R&B group BLACKstreet in 1994. He worked with the group on their first album and then left the group to pursue his own solo career. He was signed to DreamWorks Records and began working on an album.

In 1999, Hollister released his first albumm, Ghetto Hymns. The album was successful, going gold, and creating one hit single, "My Favorite Girl." "My Favorite Girl" reached #10 on the R&B charts.

Hollister's follow-up album, Chicago '85... The Movie was released in 2000. The album was an autobiographical work and went gold. "One Woman Man" the album's biggest single, reached #8 on the R&B charts.

For his third effort, Hollister moved to Motown Records. He hoped the new label would instill new energy into his music. The album, Things In the Game Done Changed was released in 2002 and faired poorly on the charts and radio.

As a result of the album's shortcomings, Hollister returned to DreamWorks where he released Real Talk in 2003. Following the album's release, Hollister moved to Gospo Centric.

Hollister is reportedly wrapping up his fifth album in the industry, The Book of David: Vol. 1 The Transition. The album will be coming out on September 26, 2006 from Gospo Centric.
