It's Only Love Lyrics

It's only love, it's only love, it's only loveDon't give me that poor, pitiful sorry I broke your heart look
Don't act like it's something I can't live without that you took
I ain't gonna bury my head in the sand, I'm stronger than that
I'm gonna spring right back like a rubber band, I know that I canIt's only love, it ain't nothing but oxygen and water, sun to the sunlight
What keeps the universe spinning, the reason for living
What you looked for your whole life
You won't catch me crying over all that sentimental stuff
'Cause it ain't nothing I can't rise above, it's only loveI'm not surprised, maybe I'm caught a little off guard
But I will survive, it'll just leave a minimal scar
This is what you want I wish you well, cest la' vive
Change is good, it ain't no big deal, don't worry 'bout me 'causeIt's only love, it ain't nothing but oxygen and water, sun to the sunlight
What keeps the universe spinning, the reason for living
What you looked for your whole life
You won't catch me crying over all that sentimental stuff
'Cause it ain't nothing I can't rise above, it's only loveTomorrow I might not be quite so tough
'Cause after all it's only loveIt's only love, it ain't nothing but oxygen and water, sun to the sunlight
What keeps the universe spinning, the reason for living
What you looked for your whole life

You won't catch me crying over all that sentimental stuff
'Cause it ain't nothing I can't rise above, it's only loveYeah, it's only love
(It's only love, it's only love, it's only love)
It's only love
(It's only love, it's only love, it's only love)
(It's only love, it's only love, it's only love)

Phil Vassar (born May 28, 1964 in Lynchburg, Virginia) is an American country music artist, most notable for his songwriting and use of a piano as his most prominent backing instrument.

Prior to signing with Arista Records in 2000, Vassar's songwriting talent was no stranger to the airwaves, penning number-one hits for some of the most popular country artists of the late 1990s: Jo Dee Messina ("Bye, Bye" and "I'm Alright"), Alan Jackson ("Right on the Money") and Tim McGraw ("My Next Thirty Years" and "For A Little While"). He has also written songs for Collin Raye ("Little Red Rodeo") and Blackhawk ("Postmarked Birmingham").

Vassar also co-owns a piano bar outside Nashville, Tennessee, where he performed his own material prior to signing a record deal.
