It's Time Lyrics

Well I think it's about time baby
Have things never been this good
I think it's gonna get a lot better
Don't you think we should?Well just for grins I bought you these flowers
Got a table at the best place in town
There's a shiny little ring in my pocket
And it's got me coming unwoundYeah, I got a secret, I gotta tell ya
Those little things that you do
And you don't even know you do
Got me thinking latelyWell maybe it's time to jump start forever
Maybe it's time to let the good times roll
Maybe it's time that we lay these two hearts down
Well maybe it's timeWell, I hope to God that I don't crumble
There's a pretty good chance that I will
But it's time for this widely identified rambler to
Sign the papers and close the dealYeah, I got a secret, I gotta tell ya
Those little things that you do
That you don't even know you do

Got me thinking latelyWell maybe it's time to jump start forever
And maybe it's time to let your daddy know
Maybe it's time that we lay these two hearts down
Well maybe it's timeIt's time I said this in front of God and everyone
I don't intend to ever let you go, noYeah, maybe it's time to jump start forever
And maybe it's time to let everybody know
And maybe it's time that we lay these two hearts down
And maybe it's time we seal this love we've found

Pat Green was born in San Antonio and raised in Waco, Texas, the eighth of nine siblings. His father was a stage actor, and Green fell in love with the musicals his father acted in. Green began his musical career when he was 18 and in college at Texas Tech in Lubbock. "I started playing guitar to pick up the chicks," Green laughs. "Before that, I only sang in the shower. I could mimic other people's voices. It took me a long time to find my own voice, but once I did, I became very comfortable with it. It's not real pretty but it's believable."
