It's a Wonderful Life Lyrics

By dean friedmanWe never knew where we were bound.
Just the same, we dashed our cups to pieces on the ground.
And I just can't believe that we're both still around. It's a wonderful life.
It's a wonderful life.
When two unhappy people, trying to keep from harm,
Turn around and find themselves in each other's arms,
It's a wonderful life. And sometimes the trouble never seems to cease.
And sometimes I feel just like a busted up valise.
Then the thought of you sets my mind at ease. It's a wonderful life.
It's a wonderful life.
When two unhappy people, trying to keep from harm,
Turn around and find themselves in each other's arms,
It's a wonderful life. And how you brighten each and every day.
With just a simple smile you chase my fears away.
Who'd of thought a bum like me would have the guts to sayIt's a wonderful life.
It's a wonderful life.
When two unhappy people, trying to keep from harm,
Turn around and find themselves in each other's arms,

It's a wonderful life.

In the summer of 1977, Dean Friedman marked his entry into US pop consciousness with the enormous success (his only American hit, it peaked at #26) of his infectious hit single Ariel, a quirkily irresistible and uncategorizable pop song about a free spirited, music loving, vegetarian Jewish girl in a peasant blouse who lived, as the lyric goes, "...way on the other side of the Hudson." A year later, Friedman struck a chord in the UK, this time with a magical duet (performed with singer Denise Marsa) entitled Lucky Stars.
