I've Waited for so Long Lyrics

I waited for so long
But you can be so hard
So people like you say
Living is easy to doI know I was so far
And everyone falters
But this was my only
Way to get back to youLeaving you to your life
Leave to me the whys
Leaving you to your life
I'm living high and dry
But I'll get by
Leaving you to your life
Living so out of sight
Living without a light
Leaving you without the life
Leaving you with leaving me behindI held out for so long
For you to get closer
This is what I get

For being the lonely foolBut my heart is holding
Out for a vision
If you could see clearly
You'd be leaving tooLeaving you to your life
Leave to me the whys
Leaving you to your life
I'm living high and dry
But I'll get by
Leaving you to your life
Living so out of sight
Living without a light
Leaving you without the life
Leaving you with leaving me behindLeft behind, left behind, left behind...If you don't walk away it won't be good enough
If you don't walk away
If we don't walk away it won't feel good enough
If we don't walk away
If you don't walk away it won't be good enough
If you don't walk away
And then we sayLeaving you to your life
Leave to me the whys
Leaving you to your life
I'm living high and dry
But I'll get byLeaving you to your life
Living so out of sight
Living without a light
Leaving you without the life
Leaving you with leaving me behind

Prior to becoming one of the most significant acts on the DFA label, John Maclean was a member of Sub Pop band Six Finger Satellite. Initially, Six Finger Satellite fit in with the remainder of the Sub Pop roster, but after one EP, they took a sharp turn into herky-jerky post-punk that was inspired by Devo, Big Black, and Suicide instead of Black Sabbath, The Stooges, and Led Zeppelin.
By the time they went to record their final album, 1998's Law Of Ruins, krautrock began to play a major role, and so did LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy...
