Jamaican Lyrics

Well its about time they recognised jamaican as an official language
Known as patwa but patwa is english that is broken
but its not broken its a language thats universally spoken
Jamaican
that a way you talk me brother jamaican
that a way you talk sister jamaican
that a way you talk me brother jamaican
talk how u talk sister
not so long ago down in africa, we were talking african to one and other
some wicked man come cross the border
say we are the slave, and say him is the owner
put we on a big ship together
seperate the mother, father, sister and the brother
put a man from Garna with a man from Nigeria
one atalk a shante one atalk uroba
try to mix we up so we dont understand

dem forget the african invent comunnication
we take de english put in the african
a touch of arawak indian and we get jamaican
that a way you talk me brother jamaican
that a way you talk sister jamaican
that a way you talk me brother jamaican
talk how u talk sister
ye man
everywher we go people wanna learn jamican
dem love the sound they the vibration
de love the gramma, the word combination
spoken in a jamaica by the whole of the nation
some people say u have to speak the english
de say jamaica is a lower language
we talk the english when we want but listen to this
out of english and jamaica what sound the sweatest
look at that - co,der
what for - fewhat
go away - gwere
look here - coo,ya
here - yasso
there - desso
where u going - arwhereugo
come over here - comeunow
i see - aarhwoo
what r u eating - where u gnam
that how i am - ah so me tan
leave me alone - leftmenow
go on - galong
penky penky
lubba lubba
soso soso
