There are at least 3 artists called Rest: Rest from Ireland: Instrumental Progressive Metal Rest began life in late 1999 as Wretch. In 2001, the name was changed and a new direction was pursued as the band disposed of vocals. A two track demo was recorded following the change in direction, as the band continued to play sporadically around their home town. Soon after, Rest began gigging more frequently, and, in 2002, played around the country for the first time.
