Johnny's Garden Lyrics

There's a place I can get to
Where I'm safe from the city blues
And it's green and it's quiet
Only trouble was I had to buy itAnd I'll do anything I got to do
Cut my hair and shine my shoes
And keep on singin' the blues
If I can stay here in Johnny's gardenAs the swift bird flies over the grasses
Dipping now and then, to take his breakfast
Thus I come and go and I travel
But I can watch that bird and then ravelAnd I'll do anything I got to do
Cut my hair and shine my shoes
And keep on singin' the blues
If I can stay here in Johnny's gardenWith his love and his carin'
He puts his life into beauty sharin'
And his children are his flowers
And they give me peace in quiet hoursAnd I'll do anything I got to do
Cut my hair and shine my shoes
And keep on singin' the blues

If I can stay here in Johnny's garden

Crosby, Stills & Nash is a pioneering folk/rock supergroup formed by David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash - refugees from three 1960s bands: The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, and The Hollies. The band is primarily known for their three-part vocal harmonies. They are strongly associated with the 1969 Woodstock Festival. They are commonly referred to by their initials CSN.

The trio's first eponymous album was released in May 1969 and was an immediate hit, spawning two Top 40 hit singles and receiving key airplay on the new FM radio format.

In late summer 1969, the trio expanded to a quartet with Neil Young with the name changing to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (commonly referred to by their initials CSNY).
