Johnny's Song Lyrics

Looking for something, looking for one thing
Trying to find anything that makes you feel
Gotta keep goin', don't let it get you down
Now you've got nothing to loseYou been taking it so hard, taking it on the head
Don't you know life's as good as being dead
Gotta keep movin', don't let it get you down
Now you've got nothing to loseWhen everyone around you tells you you're doin' fine
They're gonna drive you crazy
So don't close your eyes and swallow all those lies
Don't believe what you've been told
'Cause you'll wake up one day knowing
Nothing they say can satisfy your soulGotta keep movin', don't let it bring you down
Now you've got nothing to loseWhen everyone around you tells you you're doin' fine
They're gonna drive you crazy
So don't close your eyes and swallow all those lies
Don't believe what you've been told
'Cause you'll wake up one day knowing
Nothing they say can satisfy your soulLooking for something, looking for one thing

Trying to find anything that makes you feel
You gotta keep goin', don't let it get you down
Now you've got nothing to lose

Gerald Rafferty (born April 16, 1947, in Paisley, UK and died 4 January 2011) was a Scottish singer and songwriter. In his early years, Gerry Rafferty earned money by the formerly illegal practice of busking on the London Underground. Poetically, his biggest hit "Baker Street" was about busking at a tube station. After working with Billy Connolly (now better known as a comedian) in a band known as The Humblebums, he recorded a first solo album, Can I Have My Money Back.
