Join With Us Lyrics

Half past eight and you're late
Coffee's cold, what a state
They've dragged you downFate's got you scraped
Work to death
Can't you turn them words around? Is it really what you want?
Is it really what you need?
Is it really what you choose, my dear?Is it really what you want?
Is it really what you need?
Is it really what you choose, oh, oh?The world is in your hands
The world is in your hands
The world belongs to those of us
Who still believe we canAnd it matters what you do
Though they all look down on you
'Cos it's better that you've come from nothing
Than nothing comes from youCome with us, come with us
Come with us, come with us
Join with us, join with us
Join with us, join with usDon't make a sound

Count your pennies
Count your pounds
There's no way outWhat will you do
When all love gives up on you?
Can't turn aroundIs it really what you want?
Is it really what you need?
Is it really what you choose, oh, oh?The world is in your hands
The world is in your hands
The world belongs to those of us
Who still believe we canAnd it matters what you do
Though they all look down on you
'Cos it's better that you've come from nothing
Than nothing comes from youCome with us, come with us
Come with us, come with us
Join with us, join with us
Join with usWe've got a place and it's here for you
For all we ever wanted was a different view
I never knew somebody live with so much pain
If you open your heart, come with us and we'll take you awayCome with us, come with us
Come with us, come with us
Join with us, join with us
Join with us, join with usCome with us, come with us
Come with us, come with us
Join with us, join with us

The Feeling is a five piece indie/pop band from Horsham, Sussex, and London in England, attempting to make easy-listening hip.

Following a limited release of their debut "Fill My Little World" in late 2005, the band entered the UK Top 10 with their first full release "Sewn" in March 2006. Stylisticly, The Feeling have a debt of gratitude to the 70s, particularly bands such as 10cc, Supertramp, Pilot, Buggles, Queen, Stackridge, and other "progressive pop" acts. They are not averse to wearing their heart on their sleeve at gigs, playing covers of tunes by their favourite artists (such as 'Video Killed The Radio Star' by Buggles).

The Feeling have also followed the 'progressive' tradition of the concept album, with Twelve Stops and Home being a concept album about lost and unrequited love. The album starts with a relationship having just broken up, then follows through with the various emotions of the protagonist from hopeless dreamer to turning to drink for comfort, and finally slumping home.
