Journey's End Lyrics

Each night brings back my dreams of you I cry and cry I feel so blue
You broke my heart so why I pretend the sign ahead reads journey's end
River's rolling along skies are turning gray clouds are moving in I've lost my way
I tried to smile but why I pretend the sign ahead reads journey's end
[ guitar ]
Sitting all alone beneath the stars I'm wondering where on earth you are
Thinking of the things that might have been but the sign ahead reads jorney's end
River's rolling along...

Ernest Dale Tubb (February 9, 1914 – September 6, 1984), nicknamed the Texas Troubadour, was an American singer and songwriter and one of the pioneers of country music. His biggest career hit song, "Walking the Floor Over You" (1941), marked the rise of the honky tonk style of music. In 1948, he was the first singer to record a hit version of "Blue Christmas", a song more commonly associated with Elvis Presley and his mid-1950s version.
