Joy Lyrics

The other day I met a girl named Joy
She said, "Come here, I'm gonna make you my joy boy"
Well, things went good and things went bad
Now every time I think of Joy
It makes me sad
It makes me sadThe other day I met a girl named Joy
She said, "Roy, I'm gonna make you my joy boy"
Well, she took me for a ride, sort of a joy ride
Now every time I think of Joy
I get all weird insideOh, Joy to the world was a beautiful girl
But to me Joy meant only sorrowNow if you haven't got an answer
Then you haven't got a question
And if you never had a question
Then you'd never have a problemBut if you never had a problem
Well, everyone would be happy
But if everyone was happy
There'd never be a love songJoy was a beautiful girl
But to me Joy meant only sorrowThe other day I met a girl named Joy

She said, "Come here, I wanna make you feel all clammy inside"
Things went good and things went bad
Things went good things went bad
Good, bad, good, bad, good, badJoy to the world was a beautiful girl
But to me Joy meant only sorrowOh, Joy to the world was a beautiful girl
But to me Joy meant only sorrowJoy, I know you're out there
I want you to turn on your radio and listen to my song

Harry Edward Nilsson III (born June 15, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York - died January 15, 1994), sometimes credited simply as Nilsson, was an American singer-songwriter with a three octave vocal range. He won Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary Male Vocal Performance for "Everybody's Talkin'" (1970) and "Without You" (1973), also his two biggest hits. Although both the aforementioned songs were composed by others, he was a talented songwriter in his own right, having written "One", a hit single for Three Dog Night.
