Judgment Day Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
Hot day in the summer sun
It's a hundred and twenty-one
Vat tanks and machine guns
Another day and another runLooking for a good place to hide
Forty-five on the strong side
Me and my buddies haven't realized
It's just a job, we don't wanna dieI miss my family
(I miss my girl)
I miss my friends
(And my old world)

I hope I'll make it back again, yeah(Bang, bang, bang)
Another body goes
(Down in flames)
Another mother will
(Cry his name)
Another coffin will
(Hold his remains)(Bang, bang, bang)
Another body goes
(Down in flames)
Another preacher will
(Say his name)
Another coffin will
(Hold his remains)
Until judgment dayFocusing and staying relaxed
Before I have a damn heart attack
Stay alive and stay intact 'cause
God knows I wanna make it backThis can't be the end for me
I gotta lot, at stake, to do you see
Raise my kids and my family
I pray to God, He's protecting meI miss my family
(I miss my girl)
I miss my friends
(And my old world)
I hope I'll make it back again(Bang, bang, bang)
Another body goes
(Down in flames)
Another mother will
(Cry his name)
Another coffin will
(Hold his remains)(Bang, bang, bang)
Another body goes
(Down in flames)
Another preacher will
(Say his name)
Another coffin will
(Hold his remains)I miss my family
(I miss my girl)
I miss my friends
(And my old world)
I hope I'll make it back again, yeah(Bang, bang, bang)
Another body goes
(Down in flames)
Another mother will
(Cry his name)
Another coffin will
(Hold his remains)(Bang, bang, bang)
Another body goes
(Down in flames)
Another preacher will
(Say his name)
Another coffin will
(Hold his remains)
Until judgment day

The group was formed in September 1996 in Memphis, Tennessee. While Memphis was an unlikely place for a grunge / nü-metal band, Saliva was able to follow in the tradition of crafting hard rock songs in radio-friendly format popularized by the likes of Creed and Nickelback. After competing in the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences Grammy Showcase competition, where they advanced to the final round in New York City, the group self-released their self-titled debut album which sold over 10,000 copies in their region, prompting Island Records to take notice.
