Julia Lyrics

Julia queen of hearts
Pleads to play the part
The casualty of everything
The fatal arrow thru the larkAnd the nightingale
With his offering
Please not her heart
The hum and ringOf the broken strings
Cannot contain what the don't discard
And it won't remain
Although it comes for her againKeys to kingdoms battles bring
Tho they won't remain
And tho they seem to understand
Waves of change to a glass of sand
Waves of change to a glass of sandJulia pages have been turned
Of a book of poems
Your lover learned
Did you praise the line and blame the wordsFor if you have taken
Every phrase

And bled them all of rage
And you've mistakenJulia queen of hearts
Who will never rein
And it won't remain
Although it comes for her againKeys to kingdoms battles bring
Tho they won't remain
And tho they seem to understand
Waves of change to a glass of sand
Waves of change to a glass of sand

Amelia Curran is a Canadian singer-songwriter. She was born in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador and currently lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The National Post describes her music as “a bit like Leonard Cohen being channeled in a dusty saloon by Patsy Cline.” Curran started playing guitar and writing songs as a teenager and eventually dropped out of university in order to busk on the streets of St. John’s. That led to her first album release in 2000, and since then she has released four more.
