Just In Case You Quit Me Lyrics

There I said it, I've done you wrong
The miles I ran away to call you on the phone
And whisper uglinesses sweetly down the line
I believed your heart was mineI'm unspeakably full of it
I keep my heart on hinges just in case you quit me
When we were diving gold and pearling in the waves
I pretended I was braveBut weren't we, were we magic and dizzy
Weren't we, were we deadly and blue
Weren't we riding high crossing a thousand fine lines
When I was young and ballsy and true, to youIs it hot out there? Is it hard to breathe?
And do you need me
I can do this thing, I can make it rain
I will make sure it finds youThere I said it, I've done you wrong
You say I'm here and I say what took you so long
When we were finally free I stumbled in your room
Telling stories, telling storiesBut weren't we, were magic and dizzy
Weren't we, were we blinding and blue
Weren't we riding high spinning a thousand fine lies

When I was young and ballsy and true to you
When I was young and ballsy and true to you
