Just Like The Weather Lyrics

I go to work from 10:30 until 6 a.m
Raking up those dimes and quarters
Slinging eggs and ham
Scrambled,poached or over easy
Coffee black and strong
Jukebox of scratchy records
I play'em all night longEternal blue neon we're never closed
When the world is asleep
Darling come take a seat
You can always eat at Joe's (eat at Joe's)Here comes old Frank Taylor smelling like old gin
Guess his wife couldn't get him sober
It's up to me again
Here's a hot top on your momma
But I'll do I guessEternal blue neon we're never closed
When the world is asleep
Darling come take a seat
You can always eat at Joe's (eat at Joe's)Hello prince charming where are you dear
When will you come in and order biscuits hereTruck drivers, musicians with no place to go

I can be your domectic goddess
For an hour or soEternal blue neon we're never closed
When the world is asleep
Darling come take a seat
You can always eat at Joe's (eat at Joe's)

Suzy Bogguss (born December 30, 1956) is an American country music singer and one of the most acclaimed female country singers of the 1980s and 90s. Her résumé includes the Academy of Country Music's award for Top New Female Vocalist, the Country Music Association's Horizon Award, six top ten singles, one platinum album, and three gold albums. After taking a brief recording hiatus in the mid-1990s to start a family with her husband, songwriter Doug Crider, Bogguss returned to the country music scene to find that her charting power had already faded.
