Keep On Keepin' On Lyrics

Sometimes you get beat up good
Drive yourself crazy bein' misunderstood
Sometimes you wanna throw the towel in
But you come out swingin' like you just might winYou gotta keep on, keep on keepin' on
Push it on down the line
Keep on, keep on keepin' on
Keep from gettin' further behindSome days you wonder what it all means
Some nights ain't as bad as it seems
Sometimes you think you been had
Run yourself ragged in a world gone madKeep on, keep on keepin' on
Push it on down the road
Keep on, keep on keepin' on
Still got a ways to goYeah. you gotta keep on, keep on keepin' on
Push it on down the line
Keep on, keep on keepin' on
Keep from gettin' further behindSome things ain't meant to be
The best things in life are free
And tomorrow is another day

Funny how the truth sounds so clicheYou gotta keep on, keep on keepin' on
Push it on down the line
Keep on, keep on keepin' on
Keep from gettin' further behindYeah, you gotta keep on, keep on keepin' on
Push it on down the road
You gotta keep on, keep on keepin' on
Still got a ways to goYeah you gotta keep on, keep on keepin' on
You gotta keep on, keep on keepin' on
Keep on
Keep on

Around the time Jack Ingram started writing songs and performing, he was studying psychology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. "Music and psychology come from the same place," he says. "It's about studying why people tick. I write songs to figure out my world, why people act the way they do, why they make the decisions they do."
Lucky for us, Ingram chose a career in music-and discovered an altogether different kind of therapy. He weaved his questions about life into songs whose depth and incisive wit were matched only by their melodic resonance and insistent hooks.
