Keeping My Faith In You Lyrics

I just love how long we've known each other
And I know you care about me
But I can't tell just where your life is going
You've been quite a mystery
You've got all of these brand new friends
They keep taking your confidenceBut I'm keeping my faith in you, yeah, yeah
Deep in my heart of hearts
You've been worried, puzzled
Surrounded by your trouble
But I'm keeping my faith in you, yeah
Yeah, oh yeahWe all cried when your first bow was taken
No one could be prouder of you
But I care more about your heart if it's aching
If I'm your friend, what else can I do?
But those people who hang around
They keep bringing your spirit downBut I'm keeping my faith in you, yeah
Deep in my heart of hearts
If anyone can do it

I know you'll get through it
So I'm keeping my faith in youI've known you ever since way back when
And I know you, you don't want to change, my friend
Yeah but you're under pressure, like no one could imagine
It's not a good time that you've been having
But you're a real strong brother and I know you'll recover
So I'm keeping my faith in you, yeahKeeping my faith in you
Deep in my heart of hearts
If anyone can do it
I know you'll get through it
So I'm keeping my faith in youKeeping my faith in you
Deep in my heart of hearts
Keeping my faith in you
Deep in my heart of heartsYou've been worried, puzzled
Surrounded by big trouble
But I'm keeping my faith in youKeeping my faith in you
My faith in you
Keeping my faith in you
My faith in you
Keeping my faith in you
My faith in you

Luther Ronzoni Vandross (April 20, 1951 - July 1, 2005) was an american soul and rnb singer whose career spanned four decades.

In the 70s, he worked as a backing singer Chic and for David Bowie (on the Young Americans album). He later found success as a solo artist with Superstar and A House Is Not A Home.

In the 80s, Vandross was a vocalist on early Change singles (Searching), whilst continuing his solo career with such releases as "Never Too Much", "Power Of Love/Love Power", "If Only For One Night", "Here And Now".

In the 90s, he was more famous for duets with Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey (amongst others), than for his solo work.

It was an ongoing battle with his weight that may have ultimately proved his undoing. He suffered a stroke in 2003, from which he never really recovered, and died in 2005.

During his career, he sold 25 million albums and won eight Grammy awards including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance four times. He won four Grammy awards in 2004, including the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for the track "Dance With My Father," co-written with Richard Marx.
