Killed for Kicks Lyrics

The Stars stare down,
but do not intercede.
The best they can do is shine on while you bleed.
His bright eye went black..
...so you crawled to the mall with a knife in your back.
What is the matter with you kid?
KIlled for Kicks
I see you haunting this town yeah
But you're nowhere to be found
Dodododododododododo-
KIlled for Kicks
A suicide in repose, your
waiting for what god knows
Dodododododododododo-
You are the shadow
that casts itself,
folded tween the pages and put back on the shelf.
Those siamese summers

Of songs unsung
It dawns on your darkly you were never young.
What was the matter with you kid?
KIlled for Kicks
You're at the disco till dawn yeah
You dance like you're trying to be born
Dodododododododododo-
KIlled for Kicks
Between the flashes of strobe, you
Go from ICARUS to JOBE.
Dodododododododododo-
Dodododododododododo-
OH DON'T LOSE YOURSELF
CUZ YOU'RE ALREADY ALONE
THERE'S NOT EVEN A WORD FOR WHAT YOU WOULD BE THEN.
OH DON'T LOSE YOURSELF
CUZ YOU'RE ALREADY ALONE
THERE'S NOT EVEN A WORD FOR WHAT YOU WOULD BE THEN.
KIlled for Kicks
I see you haunting this town yeah
But you're nowhere to be found
Dodododo
KIlled for Kicks
A suicide in repose, your
waiting for what god knows
Dodododododododododo-
Dodododododododododo-
Oh Johnny Johnny Johnny Johnny Johnny Johnny
you should take a walk on your own,
No one can see you crying in the rain.
Oh Johnny Johnny Johnny Johnny Johnny johnny
They said that you'd 'Never Walk Alone'
Cuz they thought that you'd believe anything.
Oh Johnny Johnny Johnny Johnny Johnny Johnny
you should take a walk on your own,
No one can see you crying in the rain.
Oh Johnny Johnny Johnny Johnny LISTEN TO ME
They said that you'd 'Never Walk Alone'
Cuz they thought that you'd believe anything.

New York City-based My Favorite was Michael Grace Jr, Andrea Vaughn, Gil Abad, Darren Amadio, Todbot, and Kurt Brondo. The group, who formed in 1991, was an artful, depressed collective of pop innovators, hailing from Long Island but longing to be in Paris. Their songs are woefully romantic, cynical, clever, and sweet, capturing the sprit of the new wave: both the 80s music new wave scene and the French film new wave. The band officially called it quits in 2005 after releasing two LPs, several EPs, and 7" singles on Double Agent Records run by Peter Green.
