King Of Somewhere Hot Lyrics

King of Somewhere Hot
By: Jimmy Buffett, Ralph MacDonald, William Salter, Robert Greenidge
1988
Robert Greenidge and Ralph MacDonald finally got me to Trinidad and when I heard the Desperados playing my song up on Laventhill I felt like a King and it was Hot.
I've travelled all around the world
And there are places that still stand out to me
None can really quite compare
To my island in the seaMy personal utopia
A place to run to where I can hide away
Where I can truly reign supreme
Somewhere fresh and clean where a man can dream
Chorus:
I'm king, (king) king of somewhere hot
I'm king, (king) like every man should be
I'm king, (king) king of somewhere hot
Where the music in my soul(music in my soul)
Makes me start to lose control (start to lose control)
And I'll melt right on the spot

I'm the king of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)Now you just rent yourself a tile and dance the night away
Just like the locals do
A million miles from Robin Leach, life is just a beach
So far out of reach
Chorus:
I'm king, (king) king of somewhere hot
I'm king, (king) like every man should be
I'm king, (king) king of somewhere hot
Where the music in my soul(music in my soul)
Makes me start to lose control (start to lose control)
And I'll melt right on the spot
I'm the king of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
So hot!(pan solo)Some day I hope to find my queen I know she'll come my way
I'll give her all my love
It's not a complicated thing someplace I can swing
Where a man can be a kingChorus:
I'm king, (king) king of somewhere hot
I'm king, (king) like every man should be
I'm king, (king) king of somewhere hot
I don't care how hard you look (don't care how hard you look)
Ooh you won't find me in the book (won't find me in the book)
'Cause I'm here right on the spot
Oh! I'm the king of somewhere hot (hot)
King of somewhere hot (to trot)
King of somewhere hot (hot)
Hot to trot
King of somewhere hot (to trot)
(King of somewhere hot)

Jimmy Buffett (born December 25, 1946 in Pascagoula, Mississippi, United States) is a singer/songwriter, best known for his "island escapism" lifestyle and music including hits such as "Margaritaville" and "Come Monday". He has a rabid, but genial, cult following known as "Parrotheads." They call the youngest members "Parakeets."

Buffett has written three No. 1 best sellers. Tales from Margaritaville and Where Is Joe Merchant? both spent over seven months on the New York Times Best Seller fiction list. His book A Pirate Looks At Fifty went straight to No. 1 on the New York Times Bestseller non-fiction list, making him one of seven authors in that list's history to have reached No. 1 on both the fiction and non-fiction lists. The other six authors who have accomplished this are Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, William Styron, Irving Wallace, Dr. Seuss and Mitch Albom. He also co-wrote two children's books, Jolly Mon and Trouble Dolls, with his eldest daughter, Savannah Jane Buffett.

"A Salty Piece of Land", was released on November 30, 2004, and included a CD single of the same title. The book was a New York Times best seller soon after its release.

His latest book, "Swine Not," hit bookshelves on May 13th. It's a colorful tale about a family that lives in a posh New York hotel while covertly smuggling in their pet pig named Rumpy.

On Jan 25, 2011, he did an unintentional stage dive whilst touring Australia. Thankfully, the good Mr. Buffett is a resilient bloke and was released from hospital the following day and doing fine.
