Kingdom Of Zod (2014) Lyrics

We'll never drink your medicine and we'll never think your way
Masters of broken promises are born to manipulate
Your mind is a vault of prejudice but we see through the door
Your dirty little secrets aren't so secret anymoreWe'll never drink your medicine and we'll never think your way
You're tied to an ideology from a book that's out of date
No room for your daft intolerance left in this day and age
We're not gonna go down quietly, we're not gonna be afraid'Cause under the cloak of sanities are madmen in disguise
Are we blind, blind, blind?(It's a lie!) I believe it but I don't understand
(It's a lie!) I feel it coming at the back of the head
It's a lie (lie), a lie (lie), a lie (lie)
(It's a lie!) If you think you'll be the one in command
(It's a lie!) It'll tear us all apart in the end
It's a lie (lie), a lie (lie), a lie (lie)
It's a lie! We're slamming the doors of democracy on those who are not the same
We're casting the stones of liberty, but no one takes the blame
Your cup is full of promise, but there's nothing left in mine
Tell me why, why, why?(It's a lie!) I believe it but I don't understand
(It's a lie!) I feel it coming at the back of the head

It's a lie (lie), a lie (lie), a lie (lie)
(It's a lie!) If you think you'll be the one in command
(It's a lie!) It'll tear us all apart in the end
It's a lie (lie), a lie (lie), a lie (lie)
(Are we blind?) We're gonna make it like a thief in the night
(Are we blind?) We'll uncover up the evidence of their crimes
Are we blind (blind), blind (blind), blind (blind)
(It's a lie!) Well, they told me to surrender the fight
(It's a lie!) I surrendered the fight, I surrendered the fight
It's a lie (lie), lie (lie), lie (lie)And what I need to survive
Is right in front of my eyes
And I don't need to be tied
To the edge of your knife! And what I need to survive
Is right in front of my eyes(It's a lie!) I believe it but I don't understand
It's a lie (lie), lie (lie), lie (lie)
A big fucking lie!

Billy Talent is a Juno Award-winning Canadian rock band formed in 1993. They performed and recorded together for about a decade before finding a wide mainstream following. Originally called Pezz, the group originates from Streetsville, in Mississauga, Ontario, but now hail from Toronto, Ontario.

The name is inspired by a character named "Billy Tallent" in the 1993 book "Hard Core Logo" by Michael Turner (filmed in 1996) and it has been the name of the band since 2001, after a dispute with the American Pezz.

To date, the band have released five studio albums, the first under the name Pezz named "Watoosh!", the second under the Billy Talent name is called "Billy Talent" with the third called "Billy Talent II". The fourth album,"Billy Talent III", released in 2009, was produced by Brendan O'Brien, who previously worked with AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam and The Offspring, among others.
The fifth album called "Dead Silence" was released in september 2012.

Billy Talent have also released a live DVD/CD, "666" featuring live performances from London, Dusseldorf, and the Rock Am Ring festival, held at the Nürburgring in Germany. They have also released two live albums from London and Manchester in September of 2006, of which only 500 of each exist.

Drummer Aaron Solowoniuk revealed that the song "This Is How It Goes" was written for him by Ben with the subject being Aaron's struggle with multiple sclerosis, in an open letter to fans posted on the official website in March 2006. As a sign of the dedication to finding a cure for MS, the band hold an annual show in Canada named "F.U.MS" in which all funds go towards the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. In it's first year, F.U.MS raised $19,000, and in it's second raised $50,000.
