King's Road Lyrics

Sun shone all day
When you came to play
Walked into a picture show
And dreamed our lives awayRan up the hill
Crazy Jack and Jill
Close your eyes and count to ten
And I'll be back againBus stop blues
Raining in my shoes
Sucking on a cigarette
So Johnny rotten coolBut did you know I'd still be waiting
I'd still be waiting for the rest of my days?
Where did you go? Now I'm still waiting
I keep hoping and a praying for the rest of my daysMeet me at noon
At the gag and spoon
Drugstore instant photographs
A teenage honeymoonEyes lined with goo
Hair spiked with glue
Sing me a song that's three chords long

Inhale until we're blueBut did you know I'd still be waiting
I'd still be waiting for the rest of my days?
Where did you go? Now I'm still waiting
I keep hoping and a praying for the rest of my days

Suzie Ungerleider, who writes and performs as Oh Susanna, is a Canadian alternative country singer-songwriter. She was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, staring at the ocean, mountains and railroad tracks through sheets of rain. She sought refuge with song under burnt-out warehouses and in darkened clubs with the promise of guitar twang and a lonesome cry. Suzie cites a wide range of jazz, blues, pop, rock and folk influences as inspirations for her musical career. Discography
