Kiss Me Deadly Lyrics

The Greyhound's rockin' out tonight to maximum rockabilly
When two punks choose to risk the subway for a tube to Piccadilly
And the Zephyrs stir fast gangs for glory another dumb casualtyHaving fun in South West six when a hidden flick knife flicks
Oh, kiss me deadly tonightAnother battle was won and lost down the bishops end last night
And spotlights pick the kids in triumph
With the thousand scarves in, in flight, see how they runWell, spring from the terraces in black and white
Young an' ol' into the fightHaving fun in South West six with violence for a fix
Kiss me deadly tonightSeven o'clock, they stand in rank for the thirty bus uptown
And later in a downstairs room she pulls her lover down
In ecstasy but they can't make a sound
In case her mother might come downHaving fun in South West six, discovers teenage sex
Well, kiss me deadly tonightThe snooker hall is empty 'cause they're all out playing pool
Hustling down the Fulham Road doing deals with Mr. Cool
Well, they're all out on the waterfront now instead of being at school
Too old now even to dig pinballHaving fun in South West six
Having fun when a hidden flick knife flicks
With violence for a fix, discovers teenage sex
Tried shooting up for kicksOh, kiss me deadly, kiss me deadly

Kiss me deadly, kiss me, well, kiss me tonight

The core members of Generation X, a seminal British punk rock band with heavy new wave and power pop influences, were singer-songwriter Billy Idol (who has since maintained a remarkable 30+ year solo career) and bassist Tony James (later of Sigue Sigue Sputnik and for a spell Sisters of Mercy before settling in Carbon/Silicon). Generation X was formed in 1976 after guitarist Billy Idol (a.k.a William Broad) and bassist Tony James decided to go out on their own, leaving Gene October, the leader of their then band Chelsea.
