Lady Luck Lyrics

When the waves come crashing down on heaven
(She will be there)
When the skies sends thunder through the horizon
And the rain keeps falling
Do you believe in truth or in fantasy?
(Said she would be there)
Don't forget he risked it all for one last chance
At going somewhereOn his back he lies awake and he's down again
(Is it all over?)
Looking up the one he trusts is beautiful
But nowhere to be found
Have you seen his lady called lady luck?
(Said she would be here)
Snake eyes, smile that's devilish
Calling out he sees her then she fadesNow he wants to know where did she go?
Now he wants to know where has she gone?
Now he wants to know where did she go?There was a time when all his dreams were in his hands
(Now he's spinning)

Lucky charms and one-eyed Jacks won't bring it back
The writing's on the wall
And the day when he believed in everything
(Now it's crumbled)
All the cracks he's staring at belonged to him
But a long time agoNow he wants to know where did she go?
Now he wants to know where has she gone?
Now he wants to know where did she go?And he seems to remember when he was stronger
The grass was greener, the air was clearer
The sun shone brighter, he wasn't frightened
Everything counted, nothing mattered
Was she a vision that he created?
Held onto, but now she's goneWhen the minutes drag like all eternity
(Who will be there?)
When the black and white pictures fade to a dirty brown
And curl at the edges
Does he believe in fate or reality?
(Is there a distinction?)
Now his world is crashing down on heaven
And yes, she is goneNow he wants to know where did she go?
Now he wants to know where has she gone?
Now he wants to know where did she go?
Now he wants to know where has she gone?
Now he wants to know where did she go?

Dance Hall Crashers came into existence after Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman disbanded from the legendary ska-punk band Operation Ivy. Both departed soon after the Crashers' formation (and later reunited in Rancid), leaving vocalist Elyse Rogers and guitarist Jason Hammon to lead the band.
The Dance Hall Crashers recorded a few songs during their first year (these are featured on The Old Record), and in 1990, they made their most notable lineup change, adding second vocalist Karina Denike.
