Larceny of the Heart Lyrics

Now that the time has passed
We look back in angst at the past
Now that the dust has cleared
The ugly head of fear has rearedWas there ever a guiding truth
A light to silence the cries?
Suspicion is building a case
To counter attack the lies
To counter attack the liesNow that time has moved on
Can we look to the future with hope?
Now that the dawn has returned
Forget not the sense of painIs the world still a masquerade
A deja vu of trauma?
Hidden plans and corrupt ideals
Molest the true spirit to liveWe cannot fight what we cannot see
Larceny, larceny, larceny of the heart
We can't take back
What we didn't know was taken
Larceny, larceny of the heartNow that the time has passed

We look back in angst at the past
Now that the dust has cleared
The ugly head of fear has rearedNow that time has moved on
Can we look to the future with hope?
Now that the dawn has returned
Forget not the sense of painWe cannot fight what we cannot see
Larceny, larceny, larceny of the heart
We can't take back
What we didn't know was taken
Larceny, larceny of the heartStripped to the nerve, we obey
A shadow empire lies in wait
Stripped to the nerve, we obey
The pounding pulse of deceit
The pounding pulse of deceitWe cannot fight what we cannot see
Larceny, larceny, larceny of the heart
We can't take back
What we didn't know was taken
Larceny, larceny, larceny of the heartLarceny, larceny of the heart
Larceny, larceny, larceny of the heart

Napalm Death is a mince grindcore / death metal band from Birmingham, England. The band was formed in the village of Meriden near Birmingham, England in 1981 by Nicholas Bullen and Miles Ratledge. Although other groups had previously played fast and aggressive music, Napalm Death is credited with defining the Grindcore genre through its fusion of punk and metal musical structures, aggressive playing, fast tempos, and deep guttural vocals. The group coined the term 'Grind' to describe the music they played in reference to the sound of American no wave group Swans.
