Last Country Song Lyrics

Last of the great wide open
The time is at hand
Long in the tooth with a borrowed youth
Trying to be a man
Well there goes another stand of trees
Another fishing tank
Burn down the barn on the family fam
Bought up by the bankChorus
Heres to the last country song
Yeah the last time down the dirt roads
We all sang along
We all thought they might drop the ball
They went and dropped the bomb
Heres to the last country songAnother burned out summer
To a fruitless fall
Hope everyone is having fun
When the world is a shopping mall
It all moves so fast

We miss the water for the seas
If they never made another acre paved
thatd be fine with meRepeat Chorus

It's where bands like Cross Canadian Ragweed became popular. JB&S started out around 1998. their sound leans more toward country than the rock & roll of Cross Canadian Ragweed. The newest release from JB&S is called "Comal County Blue" and is one of the fastest rising releases on the charts -- it was number one on itunes right after its release.
