Last Days Of Disco Lyrics

Stand by me, I've been stood by you for ages
Stay calm and carry on, maybe nothing's wrong
Is it the comfort of disinformation or is it the freedom that you fear?
Said I'm the angel of liberation, love, for a second I believe her
I'm all you'll hear, aah, while you're here, aah
Don't call it a comeback, look what I invented here
I thought it was easy, they came and took it away from us
The last days of disco
All raved out, bitter is the pill of devotion
Read between the noise, all you disco boys, all you disco boys
The fascination of a boy and girl in love, for a second I can see her
In the mirror ball, the human animal, I'm the creature that I fear
I'm all you'll hear, aah, while you're here, aah
Don't call it a comeback, look what I invented here
I thought it was easy, they came and took it away from us
The last days of disco, the last days of disco
The last days of disco
I'm all you'll hear, aah, while you're here, aah

Don't call it a comeback, we'll hold an event in here
This space is beautiful, I'll decide when it is over
So don't call it a comeback, look what I invented here
I thought it was easy, they came and took it away from us
The last days of disco, the last days of disco
The last days of disco
[Incomprehensible]

Robert Peter Williams (born 13 February 1974, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire) is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer. While Williams' early pop career started with the hit boy band Take That, he has found far greater success since taking his leave in 1995. Williams has sold over 70 million records worldwide, which ranks him among the best-selling music artists worldwide. He is the best-selling British solo artist in the United Kingdom and the best selling non-Latino artist in Latin America.

Six of his albums are among the top 100 biggest-selling albums in the United Kingdom. He has also been honoured with seventeen BRIT Awards—more than any other artist—and seven ECHO Awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame after being voted as the "Greatest Artist of the 1990s."

The Candy Songfacts reports that Williams teamed up with his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, to write the first single from his ninth studio album, Take The Crown. "Candy" will be released October 29, 2012.
