Last Night In Town Lyrics

Whenever you're here you're alive
The devil says you can do what you like
Come what may, come what might
You'll see me thereThey've come to bury you, child
And there's a man on the loose in your eyes
But should you stay and should you fight
You'll see me thereDreaming, dreaming
Dreaming true and true
Screaming, oh, my Lord
When the scheme's undone one will surviveGet in line, take your broken number
I'll wait for you
'Cause, baby, I've come to take you under
Your number, I thought it upIt's easy, easy
Easy through and through
Easy, oh, my Lord
It's easy whenThere's nowhere to hide in me
Love, take me now
You'll see me in your disguiseI promise to be with you 'til the end

Or somewhere near the end, my love
I promise to be with you 'til the end
At least until you're dead

The Twilight Singers is an alternative American band. The group was initially formed as a side project by The Afghan Whigs leader Greg Dulli in 1997. After the Whigs disbanded The Twilight Singers became an artistic vehicle, and has released four albums backed by international tours. While in-between Afghan Whigs albums and amidst a dispute with their record label, Elektra, Dulli recorded demos for the act with friends and collaborators Shawn Smith (Brad, Satchel, Pigeonhed) and Harold "Happy" Chichester (Royal Crescent Mob, Howlin' Maggie) in New Orleans.
