Last Summer Lyrics

Oh, ohCan you look at my knees
Can you really believe
That I scraped them up
While we climbed the tree, the tree
This was the best summer that I've ever had
Oh, ohJust take a look in my eyes
Take a look and you'll see
That the sun is up
Staring back at me, at me
This was the best summer that I ever hadAnd it was fun
I want to wish the fall away
And I hope you stay the year
Oh, oh
It's so sad for me
Can't you tell on my knees
And my sun's been up
And she's unhappy, you see
She was the best summer that I ever had

Oh, ohI used to dream that she
Could come along with me
The one that keeps it all
Up inside of me but she
She was the best summer I could ever haveAnd she loved me
Why couldn't I love her just the same?
And now she's gone for good
Gone for good
Fill my cup and I'm on my way
But didn't think I'd be there to stay
It's been so long
It's been so long
MmmSince the feeling of believing was right
And it was time in the middle of the night
And it's been so long
It's been so longI want to remember
But the moment's now gone
I'd like to feel that the time wasn't wasted
But have I been wrong?
Going on, going on

French Horn Rebellion are Robert and David Perlick-Molinari, two brothers born and bred in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, currently residing in Brooklyn, NY. In 2007, younger brother Robert was playing French horn in orchestra, and decided to make hot beats instead. After telling the conductor that Mahler isn't fun anymore he asked his bassoon-toting brother, David to join with him. And so it was, a French Horn Rebellion began. Since then, they boys have travelled the world with French horn slung over their back, playing with MGMT, Yelle, Cut Copy, and others along the way.
