Last To Stay Lyrics

Without you here, I'm lost.
Honestly, I'm not that brave.
A life alone is one that I can't face.
And as the years burned off, you promised you won't go away.
But you lied to me and I believed you'd stay, till you went away...
[chorus]
Those friends that I've lost are still here in my thoughts
Those memories don't fade
But one by one we die off, don't want to be last to stay, or be alone in my old age.
And if I seem "stand off" it's only because I'm afraid...
That the more I have the more I'll hurt one day...
When it goes away.
[chorus]
Like those friends that I've lost, they're still here in my thoughts

Those memories don't fade
But one by one we die off, don't want to be last to stay, or be alone in my old age.
[bridge]
Here I am I'm so much older, one step closer to the end.
And where I am there once was more, there once was all sorts of friends.
...some lost their way.
Well I'm not that brave, to be alone in my old age.
Honestly, it feels like yesterday
And if you were here there's things I'd like to say.
[chorus]
Those friends that we've lost are still here in our thoughts
Those memories don't fade
But one by one we die off, don't want to be last to stay, or be alone in my old age.
