Laying My Life On the Line Lyrics

Laying my life on the lineThats what I do all the timeI find my self each nightFacing a wide lineLaying my life on the lineMusic is my way of lifeSure it gets crazy sometimesBut it takes me places where I see the faces
Of people i've touched with my lifeDriving the road here tonightThoughts of Malita and IHow her love sustained me when the road almost claimed me
And laid my life on the lineSometimes it all feels so goodSometimes I feel so far from homeSometimes I wonder am i just thumbing through hereHave I been on this road for too longSo here I am out here tonightPlaying the songs that I likeCause the magic and singing comes through in your bringingYour whole life laid on the line

Todd Daniel Snider is a singer-songwriter born October 11, 1966 in Portland, Oregon. Best known for his wry humor, Snider has been a fixture on the Americana, alt-country, and folk scene since his debut on MCA, entitled Songs for the Daily Planet, named for the bar where Snider used to play regularly in Memphis. On that album were the minor hits "Talkin' Seattle Grunge Rock Blues", a folk song about the early '90's grunge scene, featuring a band that "refused to play", and "Alright Guy", which later became the title cut of Gary Allan's 2001 album.
