Leader of the Pack Lyrics

I met him at the candy store
Turned around and smiled at me
Get the picture that's when I fell for
Leader of the packMy folks are always putting me down
They say I came from the wrong side of town
They told me he was bad but I know he was sad
That's why I fell for leader of the packOne day my dad told me to find someone new
I had to tell my Jimmy we're through
He stood there and asked me why
But all I could do was cry, "I'm sorry, I hurt you"
Leader of the packHe sort of smiled, kissed me goodbye
And tears were beginning to show
As he drove away on that rainy night
I begged him to go slow
But whether he heard me I'll never knowI felt so helpless what could I do
Rememberin' all the things we've been through
At school they all stop and stare
I can't hide the tears but I don't care

I'll never forget him, leader of the packLeader of the pack, now he's all gone
Leader of the pack, now he's all gone
Leader of the pack, now he's all gone
Leader of the pack, now he's all gone
Leader of the pack, now he's all goneLeader of the pack, now he's all gone
Leader of the pack, now he's all gone
Leader of the pack, now he's all gone
Leader of the pack, now he's all gone

Good Riddance is a punk rock band hailing from Santa Cruz, California. They formed in 1986 and after over twenty years, eight albums, and countless tours, played their farewell show in 2007 but reunited in 2012. They played fast and explosive punk and hardcore music that was heavily influenced by the early American hardcore scene. The lyrical themes varied from political protests and analysis of the American society, to personal struggles and alienation. On occasion, the band had also been known to write slower, sometimes romantic songs.
