Learning Who You Are Lyrics

Morning bells are ringing, its hazy everywhere
Dew is heavy on the ground, birds take to the air
Softly put the coffee on, there’s doughnuts in the jar
Funny how time goes by when you’re learning who you are
Shut the screen door lightly, head out for the day
The sun is shining brightly, you’ll make it good you hope and pray
Chorus:
It was oh, so long ago, today was oh, so far
Funny how time goes by when you’re learning who you are
Dinner bells are ringing, at the furrow’s end she stands
With all the love she’s bringing, its oh, so good again
A smile upon her dusty face, all she’s so proud of
Pleasantly reminding me the spirit lives in love
Chorus:
It was oh, so long ago, today was oh, so far

Funny how time goes by when you’re learning who you are
Evening bells are ringing, it’s dusty everywhere
Dew is heavy on the ground, fireflies take to the air
Shut the screen door lightly, supper’s almost on
Have you had the best of days, I get lonesome when you’re gone
The kids are waiting for your kiss, wrestling ‘round with dad
Could you ask for more than his, it’ the best lives you’ve had
