Left Behind Lyrics

Step right up, let's paint a smile
On a clown so it's upside down
Sarcastic impression of what we've become
Playing the part that's been cast by some
Lying in wait, trying to figure it out
Needing to make ends meet
Elephant's in the room tonight
Around and round we go
Where we stop no one will know
Everything seems to be falling apart
Happens, complacence can feed the spark
End over end, side by side
Lonesome while counting down, clock's been tight
Praying for help we'll be alright
Around and round we go
When we'll stop, no one can know
Nothing can save us until we've been left behind
One more time

View from below looking up's where we start to climb
One last time
Nothing can save us until we've been left behind
One more time
View from below looking up's where we start to climb
One last time
It's not as bad as we knew it could be
Happens, complacence can feed the spark
Sometimes kind, never proud
Lonesome while counting down, clock's been tight
Escort me into the light
Nothing can save us until we've been left behind
One more time
View from below looking up's where we start to climb
One last time
Nothing can save us until we've been left behind
One more time
View from below looking up's where we start to climb
One last time
Let's fake a smile
Step right up, let's fake a smile
Let's fake a smile
Step right up, let's fake a smile
Round and round we
Nothing can save us until we've been left behind
One more time
View from below looking up's where we start to climb
One last time
Nothing can save us until we've been left behind
One more time
View from below looking up's where we start to climb
One last time

Hailing from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Taproot formed in late 1997, and has toured with Deftones, Sevendust, Incubus, and Korn. Taproot's album "Blue Sky Research" was released on 16 August 2005. Their song "Calling" was the official theme song of WWE's Unforgiven pay-per-view event in September 2005. The second single from the album, "Birthday," received minimal radio airtime on the East Coast. In 1997, Taproot sent their demo to Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst. Impressed with their material, he offered to get them a recording contract through Interscope Records.
