Lester Sands (Drop In the Ocean) Lyrics

Lester Sands has been working very hard
Keeping up with what's gone down
Lester Sands is really in touch
With what is whose in townLester Sands bores the ass off me
Lester Sands is a big head case
I am getting so sick of the sight
Of Lester Sands faceHe thinks, he'll be someone someday
(No way)
He thinks, he'll get somewhere someway
(No way)
Lester Sands is a drop in the oceanHe'd better pull himself together
Do something speedy or else
Lester Sands will be shown the ropes
And Lester Sands will hang himselfLester Sands big mouth extraordinary
He's pulled a muscle in his head
Lester Sands strings words together
'Cause his senses have fledHe thinks, he'll be someone someday
(No way)

He thinks, he'll get somewhere someway
(No way)
Lester Sands is a drop in the oceanLester Sands is a stupid fucker
Lester Sands will stay that way
Lester Sands just gathers his trash
And brings it round every dayLester Sands think you'd better scram
If you wanna get out alive
Or are you looking to get friendly
With somebody's bunches of fivesHe thinks, he'll be someone someday
(No way)
He thinks, he'll get somewhere someway
(No way)
Lester Sands is a drop in the ocean

Buzzcocks are an English punk rock band formed in Bolton, Greater Manchester, UK in 1976, led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Pete Shelley for nearly their entire existence. They are commonly regarded as an important influence on the manchester music scene, the independent record label movement and the punk rock, power pop, pop punk and indie rock genres in general. They are primarily remembered for their singles, a string of would-be hits that combined a strong grasp of pop song craftsmanship with rapid-fire punk energy.
