Let Go (feat. Emeli Sandé) Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
If you can see me
Then you're probably a little too close
So you think you could love me
Well, you gotta be stronger than most'Cause my ex didn't like it, didn't like it
No, my friends they don't like it, they don't like it
Somebody remind me when's the right time
When's the right time to let goDear, whoever the fuck is listenin'
Tell me of the pleasures of bein' a normal citizen
'Cause all these fittings and Vivian's keepin' me from fittin' in
Why do I feel safer on stage than in my own livin' room?My grandma say that if I leave my drink I shouldn't sip again

This tour has got me feelin' tired like I'm itchin'
And I even though it's physical differences and my silly feelings
That's why I feel so down even at the top of the [Incomprehensible]If you can see me
Then you're probably a little too close
So you think you could love me
Well, you gotta be stronger than most'Cause my ex didn't like it, didn't like it
No, my friends they don't like it, they don't like it
Somebody remind me when's the right time
When's the right time to let goDear, whoever the fuck is witnessin'
Disturbin' London independent black businessman
Based on the work and the effort I'm gonna give this year
Everybody's gettin' the presents they want for Christmas, yeahLife is only ninety nine winters
So I'm tryna bond with daddy even though I don't like dinners
Don't be confused by my image, I'm no fuckin' public pin-up
But my heart won't let me say no to a pictureIf you can see me
Then you're probably a little too close
So you think you could love me
Well, you gotta be stronger than most'Cause my ex didn't like it, didn't like it
No, my friends they don't like it, they don't like it
Somebody remind me when's the right time
When's the right time to let goUh, dear whoever the fuck is, fuck it
This is Disc-Overy, hate it or love it
I'm now officially the property of the public
Since licensin' my album
And signin' a deal to be publishedBut none of these songs are written for me, nor am I a puppet
Journalists come for interviews but don't stay on the subject
Yeah, no, yeah, are we done yet?
Questions you've asked me hundreds
Now can you grant me some rest ?Because I'm tired of it, I'm livin' out my dream
And I'm tired from it
I'd die for it if music needed savin'
Music's where my heart is, I'm alive for it, I promiseI'm never liked my heart might break
Here in the dark, yeah we'll be safe
I don't care, no looking back
I've never been, never been this far from homeIf you can see me
Then you're probably a little too close
So you think you could love me
Well, you gotta be stronger than most'Cause my ex didn't like it, didn't like it
No, my friends they don't like it, they don't like it
Somebody remind me when's the right time
When's the right time to let go
When's the right time to let go

Patrick Junior C. Okogwu (born November 7th, 1988 in Plumstead, South London), better known by his stage name Tinie Tempah, is a BRIT Award-winning rapper, MC and CEO of Disturbing London Records. Tinie gained national acclaim and chart success upon the release of his major label debut single Pass Out which debuted at #1 on the UK Singles Chart in March 2010.

According to the Pass Out Songfacts, Okogwu came up with his stage name at the age of 13. He looked up 'anger' in the thesaurus and found himself staring at 'temper.' Concerned it might be overly aggresive he added 'Tinie.'

Tinie Tempah first gained recognition in the underground music scene with the track Wifey, taken from his first official mixtape Hood Econ%mics Room 147: The 80 Minute Course. Upon it's release, the track became an instant smash, holding the Channel U urban chart top spot for 10 consecutive weeks. Established artists within the Grime scene including Bashy and Chipmunk featured on the mixtape. In 2009 Tinie Tempah released his second official mixtape Sexy Beast: Volume 1.

In October 2009 Tinie Tempah announced a record deal with EMI/Parlophone. He released his debut album on the label, Disc-Overy, on October 4th 2010. The album spawned six consecutive top 20 singles in the UK including number ones Pass Out and Written In The Stars, and Swedish House Mafia collaborative single Miami 2 Ibiza.

Disc-Overy is due for release in the US on May 17th 2011. The tracklist for the album features new collaborations with Wiz Khalifa, Bei Maejor and Ester Dean. It was preceded by Written In The Stars as it's lead single, which has thus far peaked at 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.
