Let Me Down Lyrics

I know you, I need you,
I had you, did I let you down?
You come and you go,
I wait but never really know,
Mhm, did I ever know?Don't let me down,
Don't you let me down.
On and on, even the good die young,
Heavy hands, scupper the best laid plans,
On and on, ever the foolish one,
Who says what he wants,
But he wants what he can't understand.
Unfolding, strung out,
I'm holding on, you're holding out.
(mhhmm)
Don't kiss me, don't lie,
You ask for freedom then you cry,
Oh, did I ever lie?Don't let me down,
Don't you let me down.

On and on, even the good die young,
Heavy hands, scupper the best laid plans,
On and on, ever the foolish one,
Who says what he wants,
But he wants what he can't understand.
Don't let me down,
Don't let me down.
Don't let me down,
Don't you let me down.
Don't let me down,
Don't let me down.

2) The Staves are a baroque pop band from NYC. 1) The Staves are a three girls folk-rock band from the UK. Emily, Jessica, and Camilla Staveley-Taylor have been making music together since they were children, growing up in Watford, UK, England. Brought up in a house that echoed to the sounds of Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby, Stills & Nash and The Beatles, singing in perfect 3-part harmony came naturally to these three sisters.
