Let Me Go Lyrics

OK, check this out...It aint impossible, it aint easy
Opportunities shiftin' here
So far the strategy aint workin'
The facts are in, it's so... very clear
I do what I want, I can't predict the future
And then the truth can be hard to swallow
And those who can, I know that they are lyin'
In a soap opera world leaders are cryin'Correction, I need no direction
Let me go just one last time
Let me go just one last time
I spent my whole life searchin' for directionOr join forces with an axe grind
U.S.A. protecting your cancers
You can burn a book if you don't like the answers
And there's a growing sentiment in America
A list of hatred's easy to find
Right is right, wrong is wrong
If you listen closely you can hear them allAnd the evil considered bad behavior
Correction, I need no direction

Let me go just one last time
I spent my whole life searchin' for direction
Let me go just one last time
Bad generations, polarized view
No one leaves home to go and help youWatch CNN and then you know
Boom, boom, boom, look around
US bombs come down and whatcha gonna do
There's no more roof, no more house, no street, no town
All shot down, burnt black and brown, electrical meltdown
You hear the sound of the US bombs all around
And then you know...Oh, it's a shakedown, it's a breakdown, atomic sundown
Correction, I need no direction
Let me go just one last time
I spent my whole life searchin' for direction
x2
Let me go just one last timeOne last time

Rancid is a punk rock band which formed in Berkeley, California, United States in 1991. The band consists of Tim "Lint" Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Lars Frederiksen (guitar), Matt Freeman (bass) and Brendan Stieneckert (drums). The band has released seven albums: "Rancid" (1993), "Let's Go" (1994), "...And Out Come the Wolves" (1995), "Life Won't Wait" (1998), "Rancid" (2000), "Indestructible" (2003) and "Let the Dominoes Fall" (2009). The band originally consisted of Armstrong, Freeman (both former members of Operation Ivy) and drummer Brett Reed, with Frederiksen joining in 1993. Reed left in 2006 and was replaced by Stieneckert.

To date, Rancid has released seven studio albums, one split album, one compilation, two extended plays, and a series of live online-only albums, and has been featured on a number of compilation albums. The band has independently sold over four million records worldwide,[4] making it one of the most successful independent punk groups of all time. The band rose to fame in 1994 with its second studio album, Let's Go, featuring the single "Salvation". In the following year, Rancid released its highly successful album ...And Out Come the Wolves, which produced its best-known songs "Roots Radicals", "Ruby Soho" and "Time Bomb", and was certified gold and platinum by the RIAA, selling over one million copies in the United States alone. Its next four albums, Life Won't Wait, Rancid, Indestructible and Let the Dominoes Fall, were also critically acclaimed, though not as successful as ...And Out Come the Wolves. Rancid is currently working on an eighth studio album, which is said to be recorded in September 2011, and expected to be released in 2012.
