Let That Devil Out Lyrics

man, we got to get this together
we got to take control or we're never gonna get out of control
all that proper conduct is a con too heavy to bear
I've heard tale the truth will set you free
sounds good to me
sounds good to me
gotta find the sin within
and let the game begin
if you want to jump and shout
you gotta let that devil out
you gotta let that devil
let that devil
let that devil out
you know how it is
day to day always the same
day in, day out, same ol' freak out
you got an angel on one shoulder
devil on the other

you got an angel on one shoulder
devil on the other
angel says hold back, hold back
devil says attack, attack
angel says hold back, hold back
devil says attack, attack
you want it?
you better get it
you want it?
you better get it
or forget it
and regret it
or forget it
and regret it forever
find the sin within
let the game begin
if you want to jump and shout
you gotta let that devil out
you gotta let that devil
let that devil
let that devil out
oh let it out
oh yeah
hey
mmmm, mmmm, mmmm
yep
so many ripe apples on the low branch of the tree
you want to reach up and pull one down and take a bite
and while you know your arms are long enough
they feel a little too short
like life is a little too short
a little too short for letting temptation ruin
an otherwise riotously good time
temptation?
lets put temptation on the unenjoyment line
what do you say?
find the sin within
you gotta let the game begin
if you want to jump and shout
you gotta let that devil out
you gotta let that devil
let that devil
let that devil out
oh come on
oh yeah
hey
oh yeah
alright

Rollins Band was an alternative metal/post-hardcore band formed in 1987 in Van Nuys, California. Henry Rollins put the Rollins Band together, in Van Nuys, California, United States, after his previous band, the hardcore outfit Black Flag, broke up in 1986. "Borrowing" the rhythm section of former Black Flag guitarist Greg Ginn's experimental instrumental band, Gone, their sound is very similar to Black Flag's latter direction, playing aggressive rock with punk influences, beginning with their first release Life-Time in 1987.
